AI Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This AI Policy explains how edugaa uses artificial intelligence, what it can and cannot do, how your data is handled, and the rules for using our AI features responsibly. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. How we use AI
edugaa uses generative AI, currently Google's Gemini models, to turn the content you provide into personalized learning materials, including notes, flashcards, quizzes, and responses from the AI tutor. When you use these features, the topics, prompts, and content you submit are sent to our AI provider to generate your results.
2. Accuracy & limitations
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. It may occasionally state something confidently that is wrong (a "hallucination"). You should:
- treat outputs as a study aid, not as authoritative fact;
- independently verify anything important before relying on it; and
- not use edugaa as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or academic advice.
Because generative models produce similar results for similar inputs, we cannot guarantee that outputs are unique, original, or suitable for any particular purpose.
3. Your data & model training
Content you submit to AI features is processed to generate your results, subject to our AI provider's applicable terms. We do not use your personal content to train our own foundation models, and we do not sell your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is processed and shared.
4. Responsible use
When using AI features, you agree not to:
- generate content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or that exploits or endangers others;
- attempt to produce sexual content involving minors, or other prohibited content;
- use outputs to deceive, impersonate, or spread misinformation;
- submit others' personal or confidential information without the right to do so;
- use the tutor or generators to cheat or violate the rules of a school, exam board, or institution; or
- attempt to bypass safety measures, extract prompts, or misuse the AI to build or train a competing model.
We may limit, suspend, or remove access to AI features to protect the Service, comply with our providers' policies, or enforce our Terms.
5. Academic integrity
edugaa is built to help you learn, understand, and revise, not to complete assessments dishonestly. You are responsible for ensuring your use of AI complies with the academic-integrity rules of your school, university, or certifying body.
6. Human oversight & feedback
You are always in control of how you use AI outputs. If you encounter a harmful, inaccurate, or inappropriate response, please report it from within the app or email support@edugaa.com. Your reports help us improve safety and quality.
7. Changes
We may update this AI Policy as our features and providers evolve, and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Questions? Contact support@edugaa.com.
